The beautiful photo shoot of 40 mothers celebrating the lives of their rainbow babies

Rainbow babies are those born after an abortion, a lifeless baby or the death of a baby shortly after birth. They are called that, because after the sad and stormy loss of a baby, they get to fill the life of parents with life, hope and color.

When these babies are born, it is common to have a photo session after birth, but this time, a photographer brought together 40 mothers and their rainbow babies, not only to celebrate their lives, but also to honor the memory of the babies they lost.

Ashley Sargent is a photographer from Alabama, United States, who throughout her career has conducted various photo shoots to families and newborn babies, many of them rainbow babies. Although he has never lost a baby, for many years he had infertility problems, so he identifies a little with those mothers who have gone through it.

On one occasion, after publishing one of the images of the photo shoots of these babies, began to receive comments from other mothers also celebrating the birth of their own rainbow babies. Seeing how many mothers were commenting, he was inspired to make a great photo shoot.

He had the idea of gather dozens of mothers and their babies and children dressed in the different colors of the rainbow, to celebrate their arrival. Usually, photo shoots of this type are only for pregnancy or for newborn babies, but she decided to include mothers and children of all ages.

"In my mind, this idea would be a vision of hope.", he says on his Facebook page, in which he published the album with all the photographs of the session he made next to 40 mothers and their rainbow children of all ages, from babies to teenagers.

The models for the session were many of her own clients, and immediately many women told her they wanted to be part of the session. Ashley He told them to choose a color to dress themselves and their children, and asked them to prepare to share their story, which was published in the individual photographs that each mother took with her children.

Originally, Ashley had only told the mothers that she would do a photo shoot with her rainbow babies, but she had a very special surprise in store for them. After finishing the group photo with your children, He handed a balloon to each mother, which symbolized the baby they had lost before their rainbow children.

"I asked them to take the balloon and remember the baby they had lost, and let go of all those feelings of pain they had gone through, and let go of the balloon"says Ashley in an interview for Today."It was the most emotional moment of the session".

When I imagined this and we did it, I knew that the photo shoot would go viral. I told the mothers who participated, that they should be willing to share their stories and let their voices be heard. But it wasn't just for the purpose of them becoming viral. It was for the purpose of sharing and raising our voices, and sending a message of hope and conscience, and simply giving love and positivity in this negative world in which we now find ourselves.

The photo shoot, which has been published in various media and filled with positive comments, is undoubtedly a beautiful way not only of honor those babies who unfortunately could not continue with their mothers, but also, to celebrate the lives of the children who came later to fill the life of his family with color and joy.
